How Caroline and Antonio strengthened their sexual connection after 20+ years together

The beginning

My husband and I are high school sweethearts. We've been together more than twenty years now, and honestly, our sex life has always been good. We talk openly about what we like, we've explored fantasies together, we already use toys. So when I was first introduced to Mojo’s Find Your Orgasm program, my honest first thought was: well, I don't need that.

But then I kept thinking about it.

Things are great; but why not invest in them being the best they can be? I know our relationship is worth it.

So I chatted with Antonio, my husband, and he said he thought it’d be a lot of fun for us to explore it as a couple. So I went for it. I was curious — after being with someone this long, after feeling like you already know each other inside and out, could there be something left to learn?

A life that doesn't leave much room

Just before starting the program, life was chaotic. We'd just moved into a new house, my husband is a firefighter who works 48-hour shifts, and I was balancing running the household solo with building my career.

I noticed a pattern in myself: when things get busy, sex is the first thing I put off. Not because I don't want it. I do. But because my brain would be somewhere else entirely, stuck on the next work email or the next thing on the list.

Learning to come back to my body

This is where the course surprised me. The mindfulness and breathing exercises — even something as simple as an exercise about eating slowly and paying attention to taste and texture — were about training myself to actually be present, instead of staying in my head. I didn't expect a course about orgasm to teach me anything about food, but it made complete sense: how often are we actually fully present for anything? How often do we take the time to truly enjoy something?

Now, when I notice my mind wandering mid-sex, I use the breathing techniques I learned to bring myself back into the moment. It sounds small, but it's changed the way I show up for my husband. Everything else really can wait.

Fantasies, and the conversations that make them safe

The part of the course that stood out to me the most was on sexual fantasies, because it's something that's genuinely made our relationship better. My husband and I have gotten more open about fantasies and explored things together, and it's added a whole other layer to our connection. But that only works because of the conversations underneath it.  You have to find a place where you're both comfortable, and that takes talking, and talking, and then talking some more.

Just because something turns one person on doesn't mean the other person is automatically comfortable with it. Being able to talk about desire without judgment, while still respecting each other's boundaries, is what makes exploring together so much fun.

My husband Antonio feels the same way about it:

"Being together for a long time doesn't mean you can just assume you know everything your partner wants, because things change over time. People change, and what you like can change too. You have to be able to ask, to listen, and also hear no without making things weird, because you're supposed to be figuring it out together."

Where things are now

I finished the course having learned a lot. Some of it was completely new. Some of it was stuff we already did, but now I understand why it works. The biggest shift for me is practical: I use the mindfulness and breathing tools to get out of my head and stay present, even in other areas of my life. That's something I can keep using no matter how many years we've been together.

If there's one thing I'd want other women to take from this, especially the ones who'd say their sex life is already good, it's that "good" doesn't mean there's nothing left to discover. Twenty-plus years in, there's still more to learn. I actually love that.
