FAQs

What is Flex and how does it work with Mojo?

Mojo has partnered with Flex so eligible members can use their HSA or FSA funds for qualifying Mojo purchases. This may include courses, coaching, or other eligible services. Using pre-tax dollars could help you save depending on your tax bracket.

How do I pay with my HSA or FSA card?

At checkout, select 'Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA' as your payment method. You’ll complete a short eligibility check, then enter your HSA or FSA card details to complete your purchase.

What if I don’t have my HSA/FSA card with me?

You can still choose 'Flex | Pay with HSA/FSA' at checkout and use a regular debit or credit card instead. Flex will email you documentation that you may be able to submit for reimbursement.

Why was my HSA/FSA card declined?

The most common reason is insufficient funds in your HSA or FSA account. Contact your provider to confirm your available balance or eligibility.

Can I split payment across multiple HSA/FSA cards?

At the moment, Flex only supports one HSA/FSA card per transaction. If needed, you can complete your purchase with a regular card and apply for reimbursement afterwards.

Is sales tax covered by HSA/FSA funds?

If your purchase is eligible, associated sales tax is typically covered as part of the HSA/FSA transaction.

Can I use HSA/FSA funds for subscriptions?

Eligibility may vary depending on the product or service. Some recurring subscriptions may not qualify. You’ll see eligibility details during checkout.

What is a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN)?

A Letter of Medical Necessity is documentation from a licensed healthcare provider explaining why a product or service is medically appropriate for you.

Why do I need to provide health information?

Certain HSA/FSA purchases require an LMN under IRS guidelines. Flex may ask a few health-related questions to determine eligibility.

What do I do with my Letter of Medical Necessity?

Keep your LMN for your records in case your HSA/FSA provider or the IRS requests additional documentation later.

How long is my Letter of Medical Necessity valid for?

Most LMNs are valid for 12 months from the date they are issued, though this may vary depending on your provider.

I entered the wrong information during checkout. Can I update my LMN?

Yes. Contact Flex support and they can help correct and reissue your documentation.

I didn’t receive my LMN or itemized receipt. What should I do?

Please check your spam or promotions folder first. If you still can’t find it, contact Flex support for assistance.

Can I pay normally and request reimbursement later?

Yes. If eligible, you can complete your purchase with a regular debit or credit card and submit your documentation to your HSA/FSA provider afterwards.

What if my HSA/FSA reimbursement claim is denied?

Coverage rules vary by provider and employer plan. We recommend checking eligibility with your HSA/FSA administrator before purchase. If your claim is denied unexpectedly, contact Flex support for guidance.

Can I use HSA/FSA funds next year for a purchase made this year?

That depends on your individual HSA/FSA plan rules. Many FSA providers require purchases and reimbursement requests to happen within the same plan year.

Can I submit older Mojo purchases for reimbursement?

Purchases made outside the Flex checkout flow may not include the required documentation for reimbursement eligibility.

What Mojo purchases may qualify for HSA/FSA?

Eligible purchases may include therapist-designed courses, coaching programs, or other health-related services that support mental, sexual, or emotional wellbeing. Eligibility depends on your provider and circumstances.

Do all members qualify to use HSA/FSA funds?

Eligibility is determined during the checkout process and may depend on your health needs, provider rules, and IRS requirements.

Do I need insurance to use HSA/FSA funds with Mojo?

No. HSA and FSA accounts are separate from traditional insurance and can often be used without submitting an insurance claim.

Is my health information private?

Yes. Any health information shared during eligibility checks is handled securely and only used to determine HSA/FSA eligibility.

Will my employer see what I purchased?

Your employer does not receive details about your Mojo purchase. However, your HSA/FSA provider may require documentation for reimbursement purposes.

Who should I contact if I need help?

For questions about eligibility, receipts, or reimbursement documentation, contact Flex support. For questions about your Mojo purchase, contact the Mojo support team.
